The Bridgeport Holiday Inn & Conference Center has unveiled the new look for its lobby cocktail lounge.  “Blue Martini” is open for business just in time for the holidays offering a sleek, sophisticated space perfect for cocktails with co-workers or an intimate dinner á deux.  The lounge is the crowning jewel on the recent 10 million dollar renovation of the hotel and its facilities.

Blue Martini was given a contemporary new look by world renowned architect Jean Baptiste Ducruet, principal at Atmosphere Design in Westport, Connecticut.  His restaurant designs may be seen in fine dining establishments such as Little Kitchen in Westport, Barcelona in Fairfield and West Hartford, and Kazu in South Norwalk. His spin on the Blue Martini includes elegant cherry millwork, decorative contemporary lighting and multiple flat screen televisions.

Stephen Bryan is the food and beverage director and chef for both Blue Martini and the Park City Grille, the hotel’s main restaurant.  Bryan brings more than 30 years of culinary expertise to Bridgeport.

Blue Martini offers light fare throughout the day and for dinner with names paying homage to its host city, such as the “Bridgeportabello,” a marinated portabello mushroom topped with bacon and gorgonzola cheese and the “Park City Club,” a grilled chicken, Virginia ham and Monterey jack cheese delight piled atop a European style baguette.  The menu also features a variety of playfully named fare referencing the lounge’s “blue” theme including “Blue Ravies,” fried jumbo cheese raviolis stuffed with three cheeses with a roasted plum tomato and garlic dipping sauce and “Blue Barbies,” three mini sandwiches featuring dry rubbed, slow roasted pork and a zesty barbeque sauce.

Innovative drink specials like the signature “THE Blue Martini” and “The Bartender Hates You” make this new lounge in the heart of downtown the ideal place to unwind after work, meet friends and business associates for a holiday happy hour, or visit before or after the theater, symphony, or events at the Arena at Harbor Yard.

Blue Martini at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn and Conference Center is only an hour from New York City, located conveniently near I-95, Routes 15, 8 and 25, and a short walk from the train station offering access to Metro North, Amtrak, the new bus terminal, and the Port Jefferson Ferry.

Free covered parking is available in the Holiday Inn parking garage on Middle Street.  Free street parking is available after 6:00 p.m. and on weekends.
