While Epernay Bistro was under construction, we drove by constantly in order to get excited by whatever progress was made that day or week. When we saw that they were finally open we couldn’t get in fast enough to test the exciting menu. Epernay serves up some of the most refined and tasty food that Bridgeport has to offer. The chef’s attention to quality and detail is unmistakable and everything made in that kitchen oozes with love. The ambiance is romantic and warm, and the martinis are delectable. It is clear that the owners really care about their bistro and even more so, any body that walks in. Our favorite dishes are the calamari salad, which melts in your mouth, and a pasta dish, which was a special, that had me on cloud 9. The flavors were some of the most intense I have ever experienced. Epernay is also a wonderful spot for a romantic dinner.
