FRIDAY in Bridgeport!

FRIDAY in Bridgeport!

Friday is here! We did it! How was your week?! Today I’m going to throw in some lunch ideas, as there are so many great spots downtown for lunch hour. Well, the first spot happens to be in Black Rock, but is SO TOTALLY worth the short drive, as it’s wonderful and so easy to love everything about it… you’ll see! If you’d prefer to stay downtown, take a short walk over to this adorable Cafe, which conveniently occupies half of the first floor of the beautiful Lofts 881. We have yet to try their lunch, but the breakfast sandwiches and hot beverages were spectacular! Another fun and funky spot downtown is this homey, cozy, quirky lounge where everything is made with 100% love and the candy drawers are abundant and nostalgic.

Since you’ll be ready for Friday night activities by the time your lunch break is over, let’s start going over dinner options. I can’t believe I didn’t suggest this sooner, but if you’d like to have some of the best wings that this side of town has to offer than this bar, scribbled with laws on the walls, is where you want to go for dinner. Craving Mexican instead, by any chance? Hit up this Loco location with an outdoor seating option (we hope it’s up and ready!) Want some Italian cuisine with a side of live music? Then this is where you wanna be!

Pre-dinner, if you’re looking for live music, then you’ll wanna check out Two Boots at 5:00 where you can catch a free show–The Jazz Guild. After dinner Bridgeport will be a hoppin’… at 9:30, for $5 you can catch the Defenders and Friends performing on the Two Boots Stage. Over at Acoustic Cafe will be Lauren Mallon’s belated rockfest birthday bash. And lastly, If you feel like sitting back and enjoying a show, Playhouse on the Green Presents: Glengarry Glen Ross.

Phew! That was a week chock full of events. Hope you loved it all and we hope you have an awesome weekend!
